AMS as they are known in the health insurance industry markets and underwrites products for PacifiCare Health Systems. Being a part of the PacifiCare system allows AMS to exhibit enormous financial clout and stability. For years AMS was a major name brand for individual health insurance in Texas.

Due to market changes and the purchase of AMS by the PacifiCare System who is also a member of the United HealthCare Group of Companies they presently do not offer competitive products in Texas. We will continue to monitor the situation and if market conditions change we will change our position.
